⚜ Resource of the Month ⚜

In honor of the new school year, our August Resource of the Month is a classroom activity on the history of the Badin-Roque House, a highly significant place in Louisiana's Isle Brevelle community. The Badin-Roque House was recently restored and remains overseen by the St. Augustine Historical Society.

This activity was one of many on the Creole Heritage Center's 2009 Teacher's Creole Resource CD, a project that provided teachers with verified information on Louisiana Creoles and exciting activities for including Louisiana Creoles in classrooms of various ages.

The Creole Heritage Center's Resource Library contains not just copies of past projects of the CHC like this, but 5,000+ items by and about Louisiana Creoles. Catalogs of parts of the library are available on our website.
