We have been hard at work setting up for YOU tomorrow!
Join us tomorrow at the Seven Oaks Stage on Northwestern Campus to walk for Lives.
The event schedule is as follows:
9:00–10:00 a.m. – Opening program with guest speakers
10:00–11:00 a.m. – Community Walk for Lives, 1 mile
11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. – Health & Resource Fair
Every step we take sends a powerful message: our community stands together against the fentanyl crisis.
The Walk for Lives is more than a walk, it's an opportunity to honor lives lost, support those in recovery, educate our community, and inspire hope. Together, we can raise awareness, reduce stigma, and connect individuals and families with life-saving resources.

Dr. SUSAN THORSON-BARNETT is professor emeritus in The Department of Psychology and Addiction Studies. She is also our resident runner. Dr. Barnett will be the lead of our one mile walk tomorrow. I wish I could have been able to snag a picture of her riding in the trunk today, placing traffic cones around our route. Thank you, Dr. Barnett, for your commitment to our department and our Walk for Lives mission.
