Meet Your Creator/Admin: LaTezeon Balentine

LaTezeon H. Balentine is a native of Mississippi. She is an educator with over 9 years of experience within the classroom, teaching on the elementary and secondary levels. LaTezeon worked as an education consultant in MS where she assisted several school districts with professional development and education support in the classroom. She enjoys blogging, reading, spending time with her family and helping others! LaTezeon is a mental health advocate and a literacy advocate, she has book giveaways on Twitter and a book scholarship for seniors. She recently released her first children’s book, Fur Friends Forever, in which some of the proceeds will go to animal shelters in MS. LaTezeon lives with her husband, 3 boys and 3 dogs.

Meet Your Creator/Admin: Sarah Carpenter

Sarah grew up around Tampa, Florida and relocated to Nashville, Tennessee in 2013. Education became a second career for Sarah. She spent 8 years working for her local sheriff's office in Florida while completing her Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and working as a Criminal Investigations Administrator and Child Protective Investigator. After moving to Tennessee, Sarah pursued and completed her Master's Degree in Elementary Education. Sarah started her teaching career in 2018 and has taught 5th grade math and third grade. As she starts her third year of teaching, she is preparing to teach 6th grade math. She does everything she can to advocate for her students and make sure they know they are loved and accepted NO MATTER WHAT! While she is still relatively new to teaching, she is passionate about collaborating with teachers, being a mentor where she can, and promoting equitable opportunities for all students. Mrs. Carpenter lives with husband, 8-year old son (also has a 21-year-old stepdaughter), and her dog.
