NASD will offer Academic Intercession for our Algebra I and Biology I students during the week of March 21-25, 2022. This is the week "following" Spring break . Biology I and Algebra I teachers will provide our students with intensive, individualized academic reinforcement focused on helping our students perform exemplary on their upcoming MAAP state assessments. The last date to register your child for Academic Intercession is March 4, 2022. If you have any questions, please contact us at (601) 445-2941.

NFA Spotlight Student: Cameron Craft . Cameron Craft is an outstanding example of a model student-athlete. Affectionately known as Cam, he is a member of the NHS football team, NHS baseball team, NFA Profiency Plus Club, Beta Club, Principal's Advisory Committee, NFA Student Government Association and Fellowsip of Christian Athletes . Cam, a Principal Scholar, aspires to become either a professional football or baseball player with a backup plan of becoming an Athletic trainer. Cam's favorite subjects are Algebra I, Biology I and World History and his hobbies are playing video games and spending time with his friends and family . He is the proud son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy (Hope) Craft.

NFA Spotlight Student : Aniyah Washington is the epitome of an outstanding student .
Aniyah is the proud daughter of Mrs. Victoria Harris and Mr. Albert Washington. Aniyah is a Superintendent Scholar (All A's) at NFA and is a member of NHS Softball team, NFA Student Government Association, Beta Club, NFA Profiency Plus Club, Principal's Advisory Committee, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and several other civic organizations in our community. Aniyah's favorite subject is Algebra I and her hobbies are fishing and playing games. Her post- graduation plans are to attend Texas A&M University and major in a field that will prepare her to achieve her career goal of becoming a Veterinarian. We are fortunate to have such an outstanding student as Aniyah and we look forward to witnessing her many future achievements in the future !

NFA Employee Spotlight: Mrs. Mamie T. Smith. Mrs. Smith is a new member of the NFA family. She is employed as Computer Lab/Edgenuity Instruction facilitator. Mrs. Smith facilitates online instruction for students that were retained last school year, primarily due to disengagement while enrolled virtually. She has been an outstanding mentor for ALL of her students and ALL of them have made significant progress academically and socially. Several of her students are even Principal Scholars and ALL are on track to complete most of their coursework well before the end of the school year. Mrs. Smith genuinely loves all of her students and they love her just as much, while always striving not to let her down. She frequently rewards and celebrates her students, counsels them, helps them complete job applications, gives them birthday parties,etc., etc., etc., 🙌🙌🙌 NFA students are blessed to have someone like Mrs. Mamie T. Smith in their lives and we are thankful to have her as part of our family ! 💙💛💙💛💙
