We have a little bit less than a week before our registration closes (11:59 pm on Friday). We wanted to make you aware of a couple of updates to the conference brochure. If you'd like to make changes to your preference, \you can select "Conference Schedule" and edit your choices through Friday. Some of the changes that have been made include:
• HS Choral Reading Session, Middle School Band Reading Session (added, changed descriptions/bios)
• Theatre Intensive (Modified workshops)
• Modified bios, workshop descriptions throughout as needed
• Created a linktree, which will house all links for the conference (brochure, registration, campus map, post-conference eval, etc.)
Please make every effort to not miss the registration deadline. Tell your friends to sign up before the end of the workday on Friday. We have a very limited turn-around time to build a schedule and the room assignments; on-time submissions are greatly appreciated! Should you have any questions, please reach out to us at: [email protected]

We have opened registration for our 2021 Balanced Mind Conference!

Dear Friends,

We are pleased to announce that registration for the 2021 Balanced Mind Conference is now open!

This year’s conference is IN-PERSON at LIU Post on November 2, 2021. Coffee stations will be set up throughout the day (no breakfast will be served), and individually boxed lunches will be provided.

To register, we ask:
· View our workshop catalog! Knowing the session description will help you make more informed choices.
· Click on our logo in the workshop catalog to be brought to our registration site.
o If you attended our virtual conference last year, you still have an account! Use the “forgot password” feature if necessary.
o If you moved districts/changed emails, please create a new account.
· Select your top 5 preferences by October 15 at 11:59 pm. We will do our best to assign you to your top choices. This year’s schedule has three workshop slots.

THEATRE TEACHERS: We are very excited to offer a full day of activities to meet your needs! We have partnered with our Long Island NYSTEA reps Michael Limone and Lisa Drance, who have developed an incredible day focused on you! Spend time with your theater educators from around Long Island to network and grow! Simply select the “theatre intensive” as your first preference.

COVID Protocol: Masks must be worn indoors at all times. Wind-players in reading sessions are asked to fit their instruments with bell covers (standard surgical masks covering the bell will satisfy this requirement) and use a band mask while performing.

Lastly, our linktree will be an “always-on” spot where you can find the information you need. As we approach the conference it will be updated with appropriate links.

We look forward to seeing you at this year’s conference!

Sincerely,

Kati and Joe
