Happy Retirement to two very special Chadwell teachers, Mrs. Essex and Ms. Campbell! 🎉🍎

Mrs. Essex has dedicated 30 years to education, and Ms. Campbell has dedicated 18 years of service to Chadwell. We are incredibly thankful for the love, commitment, and impact these amazing women have made on our students, families, and staff throughout the years.

Thank you both for the countless lives you have touched and for the lasting legacy you leave behind at Chadwell. You will truly be missed, but your Chipmunk family will always cherish you.

Special thanks to all of our special guests for career day! We had the Nashville Zoo, an author, artist, community engagement specialist, school admissions director, coast guard officer, black book project speaker, civil engineer, trauma informed specialist and mentor, accountant, master carpenter, graphic designer, army officer, and regions bank representative. Ask your student who came to speak to their class today. Also, huge thank you to our site manager for recruiting these opportunities for our Chadwell Chipmunks!

Dear Chadwell families,

I am happy to announce that Metro Schools has appointed Michael Beno to the full-time position as executive principal at Chadwell Elementary School. Mr. Beno has provided excellent leadership as interim principal, and we believe his experience and leadership skills are a great fit for your school.

Mr. Beno spent 10 years at Glenview Elementary teaching first grade English Learners, kindergarten and serving as an instructional coach for EL and math. He was recognized by his peers as Teacher of the Year in 2017 and 2020. He left Glenview in 2022 to assume a position in the district’s English Learners Office as a district EL coach supporting seven schools. Prior to assuming the interim position at Chadwell, Mr. Beno was the assistant principal at Haywood Elementary.

Mr. Beno holds a master’s in educational leadership and an endorsement in teaching English as a second language, as well as administrator licenses and National Board Certification.

Please join me in congratulating and welcoming Principal Beno as he assumes the role as Chadwell’s executive principal. We will host a meet and greet later this summer and hope you will join us to greet Mr. Beno, ask questions and share your ideas.
