⭐ This year, Rooted's graduates are headed to incredible schools from South Carolina to Michigan and Massachusetts to Colorado.
⭐ They range from small residential colleges of ~2,000 students to flagship Universities serving more than 30,000 undergrads.
⭐ These graduates chose a mix of public and private schools, research institutions, and liberal arts colleges.
⭐ Invitations to join the honors college, opportunities to start their college career abroad, and offers for incredible merit scholarships were consistent.
‼️What makes us most proud is how Rooted's graduates have developed self-awareness, confidence, and agency to make thoughtful decisions about the kind of community in which they can thrive.
‼️Doing the work to discover who they are and stay rooted in what they value will serve them well beyond soley admission.
Congratulations to the class of 2026. We can't wait to see how you continue to grow! 🌱

With a POTS diagnosis that led her to embrace life in a wheelchair/bed due to extreme fatigue, dizziness, and rapid heart rate - this strong young woman has faced some cloudy days. She and another client navigated the college application process this year while battling symptoms from this unrelenting chronic autonomic nervous system disorder. Their strength to walk across the graduation stage in a few weeks is unmatched. 💪
Working with them, led me to develop a detailed guide with resources, best practices with campus tours, paperwork, and accommodations in college for students facing medical, physical, and social-emotional challenges. They have to be thoughtful about their college lists, have proactive conversations around support, and be equipped with self-advocacy skills especially after turning 18! From medication management to establishing a care team for appointments, it can be a lot to navigate. We can help!

Equity is one of my core values. 🟰 It has been an honor to have served as a volunteer application reader and finalist interviewer for the prestigious Gates Scholarship for many years.
The Gates Scholarship program is based on evidence that by eliminating the financial barriers to college, a last-dollar scholarship can enable high-potential, low-income students to excel in their course work, graduate college, and continue to be leaders throughout their lives. 👨🎓👩🎓🧑🎓
I have met remarkable students whose resilience and strength have both positively impacted others and inspired me personally. I'm so grateful to the Gates Foundation for their philanthropic approach to promoting educational access. ✨
I have witnessed the power of life-changing full scholarships in the lives of students throughout my career. I just want more students to know about and take advantage of these incredible opportunities. Reach out to learn more! 📨
