I just met with Hillwood High School Life Skills teacher Ms. Fleckenstein to make a plan for some of her students to volunteer at the ‘MAY FARM GARDEN’ at Gower and Harris-Hillman schools!
We also talked about creating a garden at Hillwood! AND the school has a small green-house-like structure (partially made of plastic bottles!) that we might use!
This is a HUGE gift, and we are so grateful for their generosity. It is also an opportunity for the students to work outside and get their hands dirty while together we learn about plants and organic gardening.
