Mariachi Internacional de Nashville Mariachi Internacional de Nashville is part of the "Music Makes Us" initiative. The Mariachi Program is under the direction of Gabriela Fuentes.

Our Program consists of over 100 students ranging from 6th-12th grade from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. Korean,Tau,Vietnamese, Hondureño, Salvadoran, Kurdish, to name a few, and yes those who come from the heartland of Mexico. (Monterrey,Oaxaca, Michoacan, San Luis Potosi, and Guadalajara) are here as well. We come together from our different backgrounds to express our love of music through th

is beautiful genre. Mariachi music is the country music of Mexico and instrumentation and styles varied from region to region however the actual genre of Mariachi has traveled throughout the world. Thus taking pieces of the world and adopting and adapting them into the Mariachi genre. And what better place for Mariachi to find its home away from home than here in Nashville; the Music City Capital.
