Mária "The Bookgirl" Nahalková I'm running my own business in the USA selling educational products with Southwestern Advantage. Meeting families, helping others, learning for life :)

I am a college student from Slovakia.I study translation studies at Comenius University in Bratislava. I have chosen the Southwestern Advantage internship because for over 150 years, college and university students from all over the world have participated in the Southwestern Advantage legendary summer sales and leadership program. In this program students are trained in life skills such as independence, confidence, self-motivation and goal-setting. They run their own business selling an integrated learning system to families throughout North America. In summer 2013 I was working in the city of Pasco, state Washington. As an independent business owner, my work is properly licensed through the city and local officials. I'm not affiliated with any local schools, nor are Southwestern Advantage products. I offer supplemental resources, developed by educators and tailored to the curriculum used in both public and private schools.
