Amanda "The Bookgirl" Mecklenburg Howdy! I am running my own business this and sitting down with families to help improve their kids education! My name is Amanda Mecklenburg.

I'm running my own independent business this summer. I believe in the importance of educational growth and character development in young people. That's why I'm affiliated with Southwestern Advantage. My ultimate mission is to work with kids as a teacher or counselor in urban/inner city areas to make an impact on their future. I am a senior at Texas A&M University. My major is Interdisciplinary Studies (education). I grew up in Houston, TX. As an independent business owner, my work is properly licensed through the city and local officials. I'm not affiliated with any local schools, nor are Southwestern Advantage products. I offer supplemental resources, developed by educators and tailored to the curriculum used in both public and private schools. I am passion about these products and excited to meet lots of families this summer!

Shout out to Rachel White! We did not get a picture unfortunately (sometimes I do forget lol) but her and her husband's story greatly impacted me. They are young foster parents who have given up a lot to help out kids who need a home and a family. This is such a picture of Christ's love for us. He is always pursuing us and waiting with open arms. Thankful to have met this inspiring family. They are why I do what I do.

Griffen, Madelyn and Avery all managed to pose for the picture. Mrs. Sarah and I were not sure that was going to happen but I'm glad it did! So thankful to meet this fun family. I loved the commotion of a full house hold. Something about it is inviting! It was evident mom was highly involved with the kids education. Mrs. Sarah is a super mom!
