Vermin Sanctuary is a Nashville-based wildlife rescue and education nonprofit specializing in opossums, raccoons, and other native wildlife. From late-night baby feedings to release days back into the wild, their mission is rooted in rescue, rehabilitation, education, and helping create more compassionate coexistence with wildlife through community, creativity, and conservation.

We had to move the date, but that means we can add more fun for the entire family!

We are adding a 100-yard fun run to our event this year. Your kids will get a chance to run with a couple of our kids🐐!

Oops. We totally missed the mark on timing.

When we planned the GROW Together 5K, we didn’t fully account for everything happening this time of year. Between Mother’s Day, prom, graduations, and all the end-of-school events, we know calendars are FULL.

And the last thing we want is for this event to feel like one more thing on your to-do list.

So we made a change.

Come join us in the gardens tonight for our weekly volunteer program, ! Tonight we'll be offering our volunteers the opportunity to dig their own baby plum trees and seedlings of our state wildflower, the passionflower, from the garden to take home with them! If you didn't know, not only is passionflower a beautiful ornamental flowering vine that supports pollinators but it's also herbal medicine with a variety of uses (including aleiviating depression!) We will be working in the gardens from 5:30 till sunset tonight, drop in and 🌱🌎✨

So… you helped us raise the funds to rebuild the nature playground at GROW… but now what?

Behind the scenes, we’ve been hard at work bringing this project to life.

We’re so excited to share that we’ve partnered with Nashville Foodscapes to design the new nature playground using more durable, long-lasting materials… which means this space will serve our community for years to come.

We’ve already received preliminary designs and submitted them to the Parks Department for approval.

We are officially one step closer to construction day.

Race mornings start early, and there’s nothing better than a fresh cup of delicious coffee to get everyone warmed up and ready to hit the greenway. Thanks to Madtown Coffee, our runners, walkers, volunteers, and community will be ready to go.
