Nashville Shotokan Karate International quality instruction of Traditional Shotokan Karate in Nashville. In Karate, there is a room for everyone!

Our dojo is affiliated with Shotokan Karate-Do International Organization (SKIF), following the teachings and technical standards established by Soke Hirokazu Kanazawa. We believe that Karate-do could be learned by anyone independent of age or level of physical fitness.

A few updates from our Dojo life! 🥋
Anthony has finally received his Shodan certificate — congratulations again, Anthony! Well deserved! 👏🥋
While most of our students kept training throughout the summer, some of our big and small karateka are now returning from their summer breaks. And our little Samurai, Tatsuomi, is back from his homeland, Japan 🇯🇵 , with a whole bag of treats for both our adult and kids groups! 🍬🍥

We spent the evening working on the transition from Kihon Ippon Kumite to Jiyu Ippon Kumite, focusing on timing, distance, and how structured practice naturally develops into more free and dynamic movement.
