Congrats to my hard working student and rising 8th grader, Livvy, for slaying her audition and getting the lead role in the new musical, How to Train Your Dragon Jr.!!!

So very proud of my student, Bailey, who brought Elsa to life in Frozen Jr. at Covenant School in Nashville on Friday night. And she was back in my studio today working on an audition this Tuesday for How to Train Your Dragon Jr. WHAT A TURNAROUND! From a Queen to a dragon. She’s armed and ready for all of it.

I worked with Centennial High senior, Regan, on her auditions for their theatre productions this year. One of those was a modern take on Godspell, which turned out to be her last show before graduating. She was awesome, as was the rest of the cast.

They had the audience all seated on the stage so it felt like an intimate, immersive experience. And when I tell you these students spoke their minds, that’s no joke! They shared their fears and frustrations and deep questions about the state of this country and the world they’re inheriting, and then, much like the children of the 60s, they offered up the ultimate solution: LOVE.

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Cor 13:13)

Years ago, I had the honor of not only coaching G.E.M. 鄧紫棋 but also singing BGVs on some of her records and live tracks. Always a blast. She is such a lovely human. Her immense talent is eclipsed only by her humility and warmth. I can’t think of anyone who deserves super stardom more.

Wilson killed it last night as the lead in BGA’s spring musical, All Shook Up! He was a kid in little round glasses when we started working together and now he’s the handsome lead making the girls faint. 😆 I couldn’t be prouder.

So much fun watching these youngsters (including my student, Eloise) sing and dance their way through their spring choir concert.

What an incredible moment for Wilson. He went to NYC to be part of a chamber choir concert at Carnegie Hall, was chosen to be part of a feature trio, and had a solo. AT CARNEGIE HALL!! What an incredible opportunity for these youngsters to perform in such a sacred musical space .
