Thanks to the generous support of the Meador Travel Grant, Seventh Grade English Teacher Syd Lindblom took a walking holiday along The Herriot Way, a 52-mile loop through Yorkshire Dales, England. She experienced the environments that shaped the writing practices of some of her favorite authors, and returned to the classroom with an enhanced perspective on the possibilities of writing.

Travel at USN creates a reflective learning opportunity that connects our curriculum and mission.

In June, students spent two weeks in Mendoza, Argentina through a program organized by Sister Cities Nashville. Students met the mayor as ambassadors of Nashville. Their photos were even published in the Mendoza newspaper.
