had a “field day” at the Championships. Grad student .jackie_ got herself a triple crown, winning the Discus, Hammer and Shot Put. Freshmen Symora Prince got second in the Discus. Classmate , coming off winning Freshman of the Year in basketball, placed second in the Ling Jump. Ok the Men’s side freshman Jerome Malone finished second in the Hammer. Bownes took Field MVP honors.

What a year for . So many accolades, including the first VB team to win 29 games, undefeated in regular season play, and multiple conference awards. They became the first VB team in school history to make it to NAIA postseason play. Led by two time Coach of the Year , they will bring back two All Americans in 2024 and 2025 and a strong group of returns and newcomers. Get your popcorn ready.
Congratulations to our Male Athlete of the Year .markcooper. Mark led the country in assists per game this season and was named to the HBCU Live Xperience All Star team.

Last night we celebrated our student-athletes, coaching staff and supporters. 2025-26 was a challenging year of ups and downs. As our leader VP of Student Affairs shared with us, success is not always how many points are score. Today we will continue to honor this season. Thanks to all that played a part.
