Formally Gold Key Honor Society, a prominent HBCU honor society, situated on the Fisk University campus, Gold Key Chapter came into being after it became the first Historically Black Honor Society to be inducted into the highly prestigious premier honor society called Mortar Board in October 1975. Gold Key Chapter has since flourished on the Fisk campus until 13 years ago when it suddenly went def
unct. Under the leadership of a prominent chapter alum, president, and prominent Fisk figure, Gold Key took a fresh initiative to send a willing and dedicated student leader to resuscitate the chapter back to full status in August 2015. New members were inducted in October 2015, and the chapter has since been speeding up development. Our new member initiation will take place in March 2016, and we are looking forward to expanding significantly as the most prominent Honor Society on the Fisk University campus while reinforcing the three pillars of Mortar Board: scholarship, leadership, and service.
