These annual awards aim to honor exceptional early childhood educators, elevate the early childhood education profession, and highlight the critical role high-quality early education plays for Tennessee’s children, families, and communities.

Metro Nashville Public Schools' Extended Learning Programs (ELP) is seeking college students pursuing degrees in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Child Development, Elementary Education, and related fields to serve as Teaching Assistants during the 2026–2027 school year.
This position offers valuable hands-on experience working directly with children while earning approximately $20.00 per hour. Students will develop classroom management skills, gain experience supporting academic and social-emotional learning, and build connections within MNPS.
Program hours are:
• Before Care: 6:30 AM – 8:00 AM
• After Care: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (varies depending on specific site hours)
Positions are available at schools throughout Davidson County.
