Thursday night is the second grade musical. Students need to be at the school by 5:30 pm. Second grade teachers will be in the related arts classrooms to gather their students. The performance starts promptly at 6:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you there.

Welcome Dr. Marilyn Flynn as Rosebank
STEAM Magnet's New Assistant Principal ✨
Rosebank STEAM Magnet is delighted to welcome Dr. Marilyn Flynn as our new Assistant Principal!

Dr. Flynn brings over 12 years of experience as an educator in the K–5 sector, where she taught across multiple grade levels and worked tirelessly to support student learning through engaging instruction and a commitment to academic growth.

She also served as a Professional Learning Coach for 3 years, partnering with teachers to strengthen classroom practices and enhance student outcomes. In addition, Dr. Flynn worked as a TNTP Literacy Facilitator for 3 years, supporting literacy instruction across the state of Tennessee and helping schools implement effective strategies to build strong readers and writers.

With a deep passion for coaching teachers and supporting students, staff, and families, Dr. Flynn is dedicated to fostering meaningful educational experiences that empower the entire Rosebank community.

We are excited for the vision, expertise, and heart she brings to Rosebank STEAM Magnet, and we look forward to the positive impact she will make in partnership with Principal Akers, our teachers, and families.

Congratulations to our 3rd Grade on their amazing musical performance of Journey Into Space. Next up…2nd Grade in their musical production of Hats! Save the date of Thursday, December 11 at 6:00 PM. I am currently finalizing assignments for the musical, so be on the lookout, 2nd grade parents, for what part your child will play, any lines/solos, and what they should wear for the performance. I am sending a copy of the production guide to the head of our PTA musical committee to coordinate what will be needed for our staging, props, and costumes.

Greetings Rosebank Families!! The summer is winding down and we want you to enjoy the rest of the summer, but also get ready and make plans for the start of the new school year.

Here are a few items that you have been wanting!
1. Kinder Kickstart - Friday, July 25th-8:00-11:00 or 12:00-3:00!
2. Open House/Back to School Bash - Sunday, August 3rd from 2:00-4:00 pm!
**K - 2nd grades @ 2:00 pm
**Pre-K, 3rd-5th grades @ 3:00 pm, and
3. The New Dress Code for the 2025-26 school year. Rosebank students will not be required to wear standard school attire in the coming school year. We do have a basic dress code that has been developed. This is in response to family feedback and parent/staff surveys. This means you do not have to purchase standard school attire for your child.
