Tonight was such a special night for one of our ECES 4th graders, Alivia Reynolds! πŸ’›πŸŽΆ

Out of over 160 schools and organizations that participated, only 14 songs were selected to be performed at the Country Music Hall of Fame β€” and one of those songs was written by our very own Alivia!

Through our Innovative Scholars program during RTI time, Alivia wrote the lyrics to an original song about her mom with guidance from professional songwriter Claire Kelly, who helped shape the song and bring the music to life alongside her. The project was led by Dr. Lynn Seifert and 4th grade teacher Mrs. Lewis.

Tonight, she had the incredible opportunity to perform her song on stage at the Country Music Hall of Fame surrounded by her family, teachers, and friends cheering her on every step of the way.

We are beyond proud of her creativity, bravery, and talent. What an unforgettable moment for our ECES family! πŸ’šπŸ‰

πŸ’šπŸ‰ Behind every great school is a PTO that loves it fiercely. πŸ‰πŸ’š

This week, our East Cheatham PTO absolutely spoiled our teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week β€” from treats and gifts to thoughtful surprises that made every single person feel seen, appreciated, and loved. But the truth is… they do so much more than just one special week.

These amazing parents volunteer countless hours behind the scenes, support our events, encourage our teachers, love on our students, and constantly step up to make East Cheatham the special place it is. They do it all without pay, without recognition most of the time, and simply because they care deeply about our school and our kids.

To our PTO: thank you for every fundraiser, every event, every late night, every decoration, every snack, every encouraging word, and every way you show up for our Dragon family. Your support never goes unnoticed, and we are so incredibly grateful for all you do for ECES.

We truly could not do it without you. πŸ’šπŸ’› East Cheatham Elementary PTO

One of our favorite East Cheatham traditions is giving our 4th grade students the opportunity to design the covers of our school yearbook each year! πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ‰

These covers are always filled with creativity, school spirit, and Dragon pride β€” and this year’s winners did an amazing job bringing the heart of ECES to life.

Congratulations to Oliver Brooks for having the winning front cover design for the 2025–2026 yearbook, and congratulations to Olen Yarbro for creating the winning back cover design! πŸŽ‰

We are so proud of the talent, imagination, and hard work our students pour into this special tradition each year. These covers will forever represent a piece of East Cheatham history! πŸ“šβœ¨

Your kindness and support made our teachers feel so loved and appreciated today. We are so thankful for community partners who continually pour into our school and help make ECES such a special place.

The sweetest surprises always make the biggest difference β€” and our teachers definitely DONUT know what we’d do without support like yours! πŸ‰βœ¨
