Our middle schools host an Award Ceremony every quarter for each grade, and our 5th grade Q3 Awards Ceremony yesterday was full of smiles and pride!
At Valor, we believe in celebrating students as whole human beings — not just for academics, but also for their learning growth, their consistency, and who they are becoming. We honor scholars who show up for community, who lead with kindness and integrity, who embrace their identity, and who bring heart and perspective into our community every day. 🧡💙
Thank you to our many 5th grade Flagship families for showing up and cheering with us!

We’re so proud to share that all of our schools earned Reward School status and an “A” rating from the state!
Behind these banners is a team of educators who plan with intention, show up prepared, and believe every student can do hard things. Results like these don’t happen by accident - they come from a shared belief in what’s possible for kids and a commitment to their success.
If you’re looking for a place that will empower you to do your best and support your growth, come teach with us in the 2026-27 school year!

Which color team will be taking home the trophy this year at Flagship and Voyager? 🟣🟢🟡🔴🟠🔵
One of our most beloved traditions, this is the time of year where middle school scholars and staff show up loud and proud, building excitement and momentum as we head into end-of-year testing. Over the next few weeks, there will be tons of academic competitions and fun activities designed to get scholars focused, confident, and ready for the upcoming testing season.

Our Flagship 8th graders visited their Valor College Prep neighbors yesterday for the High School Ready Summit! 🌟 They rotated through different sessions to learn about the high school schedules, classes & clubs, mentoring, culture, and took a full tour of the building. Several high school students led the way, sharing tips and insights about what life in high school is really like.
Nat Pendley, our Director of Culture, highlights why this experience matters: “It’s really important that our students have a window into the huge transition that they are about to make. It’s even MORE important that our former Flagship students are the ambassadors for this experience - to share things they wish they would have known, ease worry, and show that students don’t have to be perfect going into high school.”
A huge thank you to the many teachers and leaders who organized this meaningful experience, helping our 8th graders feel excited, confident, and ready for this big next step! 🧡

Our schools are only as great as our teachers and leaders. Therefore, our goal is to attract, develop, and retain one of the best faculties in the nation. Our educators will become extraordinary teachers, mentors, and leaders, as well as play an integral part of the growth and decision-making processes of the organization.
We’re now hiring for the 2026–2027 school year for a variety of teaching and leadership roles! If you’re ready to do work that matters and step into opportunities that shape the future of Valor, explore our openings and apply before the deadlines close in March!

The years after middle school can determine a young person’s entire trajectory, yet they’re often shaped by learning models designed for a different era.
In December 2025, many Valor students, along with 75+ other youth and cross-sector leaders across the country, gathered to reimagine the “launch years” (ages 13–22) for a world being transformed by AI and rapid change.
Their work at the Liftoff Design Sprint helped produce 10 bold, open-source learning models grounded in youth perspectives, whole-learner development, and real-world relevance. These aren’t final answers—they’re urgent invitations to build something better.
👏 We're so proud to have our students be part of this work and conversation!
