Last week, we hosted our annual Backstage at BizTown event, and it was a huge success!

Because of the incredible generosity of our community and everyone who attended, donated and supported, we raised a record-breaking $88,638 in support of our mission.

We are so grateful for the time and talent from our songwriters, Rhett Akins, Walker Hayes and Joybeth Taylor, who brought incredible energy to the event! Shoutout to our emcee Ty Bentli for keeping everyone engaged all night.

A huge thank you to our volunteers who made JA Finance Park such a bright and blooming place this past week: , , , , and 💐

Last Thursday, the JA Stock Market Competition had teams from Grace Christian Academy () and Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet High School () compete against each other in our first ever JA Stock Market simulation. During this event, students had $500,000 to invest over 60 simulated “days”. Students had to use their knowledge of the stock market, gather and critically discern “news sources”, and make quick decisions to grow their portfolios. This simulated a real trading floor and gave our students to practice the skills they have been honing in the classroom.
