Nashville’s construction industry is booming. One job training program is helping locals get a piece of the pie. Sierra McCants got into the skilled trades during the height of the pandemic. She had been working in the restaurant industry, when many businesses were shutting down. That's when she enrolled Music City Construction Careers.

Congratulations to the UA Local 572 Apprentice Contest winners who competed this past week in the Tennessee State Apprentice Contest at UA Local 538 in Johnson City.
Andrew Christian placed 4th in HVAC.
Andrew Frakes placed 3rd in Pipefitting.
Ryan Massie placed 2nd in Welding.
Ryan Melton placed 1st in Plumbing and will represent Tennessee in the UA District 3 Apprentice Contest in June.

Members make sure to stop by and check in with us before getting in line for the parade and pick up your UA Labor Day shirt.

Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 572 JATC
Will be accepting applications for our Plumbing, Pipefitting & HVAC Apprenticeship Program starting
Monday May 3, 2021

Applications will only be accepted at the following times
Monday - Thursday between the hours of 9:00am – 12:00pm and from 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Friday between the hours of 9:00am – 12:00pm

All applications must be filled out in person at Local 572's Training Center
Located at 225 Ben Allen Rd, Nashville, TN 37207

• You must be 18 years old.
• Provide a Social Security Card
• Provide a Valid Driver’s License or State Issued ID
• Provide a Copy of Birth Certificate
• If Veteran provide a copy of DD214
• You must have your own mode of transportation
• You must provide a high school diploma with official transcripts or a State Accredited G.E.D. certificate and provide the official test scores.
• For applicants that have graduated from college, your college Diploma and Transcripts will be accepted in lieu of high school transcripts.

**To start the application process there is a $25.00 non-refundable application fee required for all applications - payable by cash, credit card or money order.

**After all paperwork has been submitted, applicants will be scheduled to take a mechanical aptitude test at the training center with a non-refundable fee of $35.00. Applicant interviews will be scheduled following the completion of the aptitude test.
