Thousands of our war Veterans are afflicted with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The healing power of music helps soldiers cope.

In fact, more soldiers have committed su***de since the Vietnam War than have died in actual battle. But many are finding hope in an unlikely place: behind the wood and strings of an acoustic guitar. That’s why we provide veterans with guitars and a forum to learn how to play. But we can't do it without your help. Please read on to learn more out about the program and how you can help those who served rediscover their joy through the power of music.

🇺🇸 Remembering the Fallen on Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their courage and service built the foundation for the liberties we hold dear. At Guitar for Vets Nashville, we are especially grateful for all veterans—those who gave everything, and those who continue to carry the weight of service.

Through the healing power of music, we provide free guitars, lessons, and community to veterans navigating the invisible wounds of war like PTSD and trauma. Every strum, every note, is a step toward renewal, connection, and hope—thanks to the freedoms defended by our fallen heroes.

To all who served: Thank you. We remember. We honor you.

If you’re a veteran in the Nashville area looking for connection through music, or if you’d like to support our mission with a donation or volunteer time, reach out—we’d love to have you.
