Thank you to all the families that came today for Donuts with Grownups! 🍩 We are so grateful for our Parent Advisory Board who coordinated this event and made it all possible!

Rainy Day Fun! Two of our younger classes decided to go outside and enjoy the weather today. 🌧️ We loved hearing their sweet giggles as they jumped in puddles and their exclamations of, "I got wet!" when they came inside.

Our incredible team kicked off in-service training with a day packed full of learning, laughter, and purpose!

First up, the always-amazing Lisa Maddox-Vinson with Get Connected With Lisa brought ALL the energy (as she always does! 🙌) and led us through a hands-on literacy training that had us creating props as an extension of some wonderful books. We made “reading glasses”, microphones, forts, and spoon puppets. We listened to some great music, laughed, and smiled! Our little learners are going to LOVE what’s coming their way!

Then, we shifted into something more serious — but just as important.

We were joined by Scott Pollard from the Security Training Academy of Tennessee for Part 1 of a two-part safety training, covering active shooter preparedness and building-specific scenario walkthroughs. We’ll complete the program in July.

It’s never an easy topic, but every day parents trust us with the most precious people in their world — and we take that responsibility to heart. 💛 Knowing what to do in a crisis is one of the most meaningful things we can do for the little lives in our care.

The many faces of West Nashville Preschool! 💛 Our incredible families and committee went all out for Teacher Appreciation Week — and our hearts (and bellies) are so full!
Teachers also spread some love to each other with Kindness Bingo! From sharing scriptures and helping coworkers to being twinsies for a day and drawing portraits of one another — it was the perfect mix of sweet and silly. What a week! 🎉

We give thanks to God for the absolutely glorious weather we’ve had this month! All of our learners, from the youngest to the oldest, have enjoyed an abundance of outdoor activities. They’ve been on walks, released butterflies, gone on bug hunts, had outdoor art experiences, played games, had picnics, explored pine cones, dug for worms, and so much more! Their smiles say it all!

West Nashville Preschool will resume normal operations Monday, February 2. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back! Thank you to EVERYONE who played a role in helping get our facility back up and running.
