Overton Library

Jayla and Zahra, two great gifts that we were given this year. These girls were a part of the career based learning program at Overton and they were based in the library working on laptops with Mr. Williams and other general library hijinks with us. They became skilled masters at their jobs and fast friends and we love them fiercely! They are both off to MTSU in the fall and we will miss them like crazy. Many blessings to you ladies! You are difference makers! 💛

Discussion Club met for the last time this year and we made Vision Boards! All the materials are still out if you want to make one too!!

Thank you to our wonderful administrators and especially Dr. Garner who have spoiled us during teacher appreciation week! We have been fed every day, we’ve had coffee truck, and today we were given Overton swag! We have also been treated by SGA with sweets and notes of encouragement! Thank you so much for acknowledging and encouraging us!

Seniors, it’s getting real!! Please return your school issued laptop to the library after your last exam. We have to have them at the latest by May 14!

Today is some of our seniors’ last day! 😥 We are so proud of you but we will miss you!!! 💛

Today was our last Project Lit meeting of the year! We discussed, snacked, kahooted, and laughed! The student leadership team picked next year’s book selections (see last slide) and we are excited to start again in August. So thankful for these students and their love of lit!!

It was Dynamic Duo Day today to kick off Senior Week and we had everyone from Lilo and Stitch, Spiderman, Salt and Pepper, and twin sets! What a fun way to celebrate our seniors!

We had Abby the therapy dog at Overton today, lifting everyone’s spirits as we are in the midst of EOC testing, and she was a big hit!! Thanks Abby, for brightening our day!!
