Tennessee Outdoors Youth Summit

Tennessee Outdoors Youth Summit TWRF host this week-long summer camp in July each year. It is a way to teach the next generation abo Students will attend at least 10 classes during the week.

This week-long summer camp for high school students from across Tennessee is hosted by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency in cooperation with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation. It is a way to teach the next generation about the exciting world of outdoor recreation. The summit is held in June and designed to teach outdoor skills. Students will participate in hands-on classes that tea

ch the importance of the natural resources and their management. Instructors are wildlife and fisheries biologists, wildlife officers, college professors, professional shooting coaches and experts from specific fields of interest. They will have the opportunity to gain certification in many different programs. Those who are interested in a career specializing in natural resources management will enjoy the experiences that are not normally obtained until joining the work force.

The Tennessee Outdoor Youth Summit will look a little different this year. We will be having a field day where we will enjoy some of the same activities as in the past but in a smaller session. Hopefully 2022 will be back on track! Sorry for the inconvenience. I look forward to having a fun filled field day.

2020 TOYS IS CANCELED!!!

Due to the continued threat of the COVID-19 virus, the 2020 Tennessee Outdoor Youth Summit (TOYS) has been cancelled. The TWRF is dedicated to our mission of protecting and preserving Tennessee’s rich hunting and fishing heritage, but we are also dedicated to protecting the health and well-being of our community. Because TOYS is an educational experience that requires hands-on training, we cannot adequately implement the social-distancing measures that are required to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. We apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation has caused. For those that have already submitted registration fees, TWRF will provide you with a full refund as soon as possible. We look forward to the opportunity to come together again to learn about the outdoors after the threat of this virus has passed, and we hope that you will consider joining for TOYS in 2021.
