September Donation Rotation! 🍎 It’s Kindergarten & 1st Grade’s turn to help stock the Shayne teacher workrooms with favorite snacks and drinks!!

✏️Kindergarten: Drinks (Soda, Water, K-Cups, Drink Packets)

✏️1st Grade: Snacks (Chips, Wrapped Snacks, Hard Candy)

🛒 How to contribute:
• Send items with your student (labeled for the workroom)
• Drop items off at the front doors or front office *TO THE LABELED BINS* anytime this month
• Scan the QR codes on the graphic to ship items directly or donate online!

Want to make this school year unforgettable for your child and their classmates? 🍎 We’re looking for enthusiastic Room Parents to help organize class events, support teacher appreciation, and build a strong, connected classroom community!

As a Room Parent, you’ll act as the main link between your teacher and class families—sharing class-specific updates, helping keep everyone in the loop on fun events, and passing along important school-wide information.

No prior experience needed—just a big heart and a little extra time to lend a hand.

🎉 THE TURF IS OFFICIALLY HERE! 🎉

Thanks to our amazing Shayne community and the talented Goat Turf team, the turf we’ve been raising money and advocating for is *almost* fully installed! 🙌

While we know everyone is itching to step onto the field, it’s not quite ready for action just yet. We’re putting on the finishing touches—including a concrete pathway so it’s fully accessible and ready for everyone to enjoy—and waiting on final approval from the MNPS + Metro compliance teams.

🔒 Temporary fencing will be up while we cross those final t’s and dot those i’s. Please stay off the turf for now so we can keep it pristine and get that final green light!

✨ Keep your eyes peeled—we’re hopeful to announce a super fun ribbon-cutting celebration very soon! Thank you for your patience and support! 🥳💚

🚨🚨 Cannot believe we FINALLY get to make this announcement, but after months of working through Metro approvals, turf installation for our outdoor recess area is officially on the calendar! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our families and sponsors through our annual fundraisers, this multi-year dream is finally becoming a reality. (Ahhhh!!!!)

Construction Dates: Tuesday, August 11 – Saturday, August 15 (estimated 4–5 days).

Recess Changes: Moved to alternate areas on campus to keep all students and staff safe.

Traffic & Parking: Construction vehicles will occupy the small back parking lot. *Please use the front parking lot and front drive only.

Thank you for your patience and support as we upgrade our areas into a space all Shayne stars can THRIVE!
