IMPORTANT UPDATE: World to the Wise is offering a single but significant summer tour this year: our 15th Anniversary "Origins" tour, visiting the same iconic cities as our very first tour back in 2010: London, Amsterdam and Paris, in that order.
Dates are June 2-16 (including travel from the US).

I (David) overheard part of an interview with a well known actor yesterday. He has experienced great success of late, and like it is with most celebrities, very few people are aware of the road that led to his success.

It turns out he worked one menial job after another for years, taking the odd audition when it came up, and doing his best to save some money. But what struck me in particular was the fact that during all this time he also went to school. He said if he couldn't be living his dream, he may as well be learning every step of the way (my paraphrase).

This is one of the big, major reasons why we started World to the Wise cultural tours. Because when you cross a border, not only do the sights, sounds and tastes change, but you inevitably learn something you didn't know.

We've been leading tours to some of our favorite places for fifteen years, and every time I step off the plane I learn something new. (This past year we learned a WHOLE HEAP of new things as we were making an exploratory trip to Spain and Portugal.)

Speaking of Spain and Portugal, we wanted to let you know that at this point we still need five people for the tour to happen (May 26 - June 8). The deadline for signups is one week from today, Feb. 10.

IF it turns out that this tour doesn't make, we are considering moving the Paris-Amsterdam-London tour forward, closer to the same time slot (rather than the currently scheduled June 14-24).
