We had guest speakers in the art room today! One of our Nashville graduates came back for a visit with several colleges and one of the art and design directors/professor from SIU–Carbondale. They shared information about the different art related fields offered at SIU–Carbondale. 3 of the speakers shared information about the Industrial Design program and 1 speaker discussed the Communication Design program (very similar to Graphic Design). Many people do not realize how many areas of study involve an art and design component. The speakers did an excellent job of sharing information about the different programs and their own personal experience. I was also very proud of all of our NCHS students for their attention and questions.
