KidPOWER Empowering children to make positive life choices

KidPOWER is an after-school program offered free to families in the Napier-Sudekum Community, serving approximately 70 students. As students graduate KidPOWER, they are given an opportunity to move into CrossBRIDGE’s follow-up program, YouthPOWER. This program currently serves over 20 middle school students and will continue to grow as we add a grade level each year.

ty presents many challenges. Perhaps the most devastating effect is children growing up believing their futures are determined by factors beyond their control. However, KidPOWER and YouthPOWER share the same mission--to empower students to make positive life choices by providing:

»Homework help and tutoring
»Opportunities to give back to the community through service learning projects
»Resources to create and achieve goals
»Tools to build character

With the help of dedicated volunteers, hard-working staff, and faithful donors, students are overcoming the obstacles they face and being equipped to change their community.
