This will be an informal panel discussion focused on sharing training ideas, lessons learned, and practical ways departments can improve training programs and firefighter development. Panelists and attendees will be encouraged to openly discuss challenges, successes, and creative solutions being used across the state.

Topics will include:

▪️ Documentation and recordkeeping practices
▪️ High-value drills and training ideas
▪️ Regional partnerships and collaboration
▪️ Training in limited staffing environments
▪️ Building a stronger training culture

The Nashville Fire Department is proud to host NC Fire Instructor II at Station 2 in partnership with Nash Community College and Eastern Carolina Fire Training, LLC.

🔥 Course Overview:
This course is designed to prepare experienced instructors to advance their skills in lesson development, instructional delivery, evaluation, and program management. If you’re ready to take the next step as a fire service educator, this class is for you.

• Fire Instructor I certification
• Fire Officer I (recommended/required per OSFM guidelines)
• Experience in instructional delivery

Class Update:
After consulting with Nash Community College and Fire Department command staff, tonight’s class has been canceled due to the threat of bad weather.

We will resume on Wednesday night at 6:00 PM.

Firefighter Certification Night Series – OPS 1: Health & Safety (FIP 3041)

Our OPS 1 class kicks off Monday night at Nashville Fire Department Station 2! This is a great opportunity for firefighters working toward NC certification to get started or keep moving forward.

Unfortunately, we will have to postpone the Emergency Medical Care cert class to a later date. We will pick up Ops 1 on February 9th at 6:00pm!

🚨 Class Update – NFD Firefighter Night Series 🚨

The Emergency Medical Care class that was scheduled to begin tomorrow night at Station 2 has been canceled.

➡️ Make-up dates will be announced later this week.

✅ OPS 1 – Health and Wellness (FIP 3041) will still run as scheduled, starting February 9th at 6:00 PM.
