It’s a zombie summer at AMUA

From bruises and bites to full zombie transformations. Our Movie Magic Camp crew absolutely killed it this week thanks to ! Watching these 8–12 graders bring their creativity to life through SFX makeup has been so much fun, and these final zombie looks were the perfect ending to camp 🧟‍♂️

Beauty & Glam Camp | June 1st-3rd 💄

For students entering 9th-12th grade, this hands-on camp is all about building confidence, creativity, and healthy beauty habits.

Learn skincare essentials, natural everyday makeup, soft glam techniques, brow shaping, lash basics, and proper makeup hygiene-all in a fun, supportive environment.

BLOOD & GORE WORKSHOP🩸

In our Blood & Gore Workshop, instructed by Emmy Award winning SFX makeup artist Ben Rittenhouse, students dive into the world of special effects makeup, creating a hyper-realistic cut throat prosthetic from scratch. From sculpting and application to blending and detailing, every step is about mastering the techniques that make effects look disturbingly real on camera and in person.

This is hands-on, high-impact learning where you’ll push your creativity, challenge your skills, and explore the darker side of makeup artistry. Perfect for aspiring artists ready to break beyond beauty and step into the world of film, TV, and theatrical SFX.
