Dreaming of Christmas morning. For Cottage Cove’s Christmas with Dignity Store, that’s this Saturday! As of today, we have the necessary toys and gift items. Thanks to hundreds of people who have given and volunteered, or will serve tomorrow and the next day, to bless these families. We’re a bit light on winter coats, so any last-minute gifts coming in will be used to augment those or cover additional costs. See the first comment for a secure giving link. Have a Merry Christmas!

It's almost Christmas. Through the efforts of many volunteers and donors, the Cottage Cove Christmas with Dignity Store is taking shape. With two days remaining, we’re so close, but we have a bit more shopping to do as financial gifts come in. We could use some more help on Saturday (store day) in the mid-afternoon. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. We’re now ready for 70% of the kids whose parents have been invited to shop at Cottage Cove’s Christmas with Dignity Store this Saturday. We could use your help to get all the way over the next four days. And, we could use a few more volunteers in the early afternoon on Saturday. With 7 days to be ready for all children whose families have been invited to Cottage Cove’s Christmas with Dignity Store on December 13, we are now prepared for slightly more than half. Would you consider giving? Would you share the urgent need and opportunity with others? Help us be a great blessing to these families. Store volunteers are still needed, too. Cottage Cove’s Christmas with Dignity store is only 11 days away, and we can use your help! While we have many items in place, we still need many larger toys and gifts to be ready for all the invited families. Your financial gift of any amount will help children have a fantastic Christmas morning. And, all next week, we can use volunteers to help us set up and staff the store. If you can help with the store day (from shopping assistants to gift-wrapping), please sign up for a time slot (or two) on our online form. This past week, the local chapter of Executive Women International returned to Cottage Cove for their annual Reading Rally (they’ve been doing this for over ten years now). The EWI ladies read to our kindergarten through grade two kids from Cottage Tusculum and Madison, provided a great snack, treats, and all the kids got to take the book home. Our Cottage Cove Madison kids weren’t left out, as they received their books and treats a few days later.
