West End Middle PTSO

West End Family: When we come back together in August, things will be a little different.

Principal Stephens is headed to Glencliff High School. We love our Principal and will mis him, but we wish him the best! Those students at GHS are getting a stellar leader!

We will welcome Marissa Utley as our interim executive principal for the upcoming school year. She is from Memphis and is an experienced principal and instructor.

We welcome Principal Utley and can’t wait to get to work!

Teacher Appreciation Week is underway at West End Middle School, and we are so grateful for the incredible teachers and staff who pour so much into our students every day! 💙💛

Last week, the PTSO treated our teachers to a “Build Your Own Trail Mix Bar” before the Land Between the Lakes trip, and tomorrow we’ll be providing coffee and donuts as another small way to say THANK YOU.

We’re also partnering with Principal Stephens to help students share their appreciation directly with teachers. During lunch, students will have the opportunity to stop by a special station and fill out a note that says:

“I appreciate my teacher __________ because . . .”

We encourage every Blue Jay to take a moment to recognize a teacher or staff member who has made a difference in their life. A few kind words can mean so much!

The West End Middle School PTSO raised 104% of our goal to rebuild the concession stand lost in a fire last year. We are deeply grateful to our Blue Jay community for supporting us and helping us reach this ambitious milestone.

Thanks to you, our students and families will once again have a concession stand for home games. Having this space back means so much — it helps build school spirit, confidence, and pride throughout our community.
