We are incredibly proud of our sister Lexie Garrity, who was chosen to give a TedX Vanderbilt talk this Sunday at 1 p.m! Her talk is titled "Learning Disability in Higher Education and the Professor Student Relationship." Although registration for the event has ended, her talk will be live streamed in real time. Today's spotlight is Sandy Chesterton, who's currently finishing a course on marketing/consumer behavior at the London School of Economics. When she's not in class, Sandy's out exploring London, missing American food, and spending a lot of time with Adrienne Brauch, also studying in London. Today's summer spotlight is former VPM Mckenzie Jones and rising junior Samantha Garfield! These two are in DC this summer participating in the Vanderbilt Internship Experience in Washington (VIEW) program. VIEW brings together 24 Vanderbilt students to learn more about active citizenship through internships in politics, nonprofits, or the communications industry and service projects.

Today’s summer spotlight is Nina Campano, who is working with Boeing in Seattle this summer. When she’s not exploring the PNW, Nina's designing an emergency equipment stowage cabin that will be in fifty new Boeing planes!

So proud of rising senior Jeewon Chon, who is researching myelodysplastic syndrome and leukemia at Vanderbilt's Preston Research Center this summer! She also had the opportunity to present some of her other research at the American Society for Stereotactical and Functional Neurosurgery Conference earlier this summer
