Hallway happenings! IB French Ab Initio Juniors conducted a speaking assessment today in which they asked and gave each other directions to places in town. Madame Batey made it interactive with the matchbox cars 🚗 and city road map 🗺️ for students to use as they spoke. Language learning, but make it real world! 🌎

Alayna Mitchell is an IBDP senior at Hillsboro, and we are beyond proud of her and her leadership! What an incredible student. Congratulations, Alayna, on all of your accomplishments!

Alayna Mitchell, student member of the MNPS Board of Education, will attend Hampton University after graduating from Hillsboro High School next month with an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Alayna has served as a student member of the BOE for two years, helping give voice to student concerns and interests, and has also been a Hillsboro Ambassador. She also served as captain of the varsity cheer squad. Congratulations, Alayna! 🎓🎓🎓

Last night HHS hosted the IB Senior Art Exhibition in conjunction with the HHS Arts Showcase. Under the guidance and mentorship of Ms. Sara Hyatt, our IB Visual Art Seniors have created personal portfolios as part of their course requirements, all on display for the community to see last night.

The Fine Arts team would love to invite you to the Fine Arts Showcase next Thursday, March 28th! The event runs from 6-8pm and is all throughout the Fine Arts Wing. The event features the IB Senior Art Exhibition as well as performances from choir, band, and theatre.
