This week, we’re shining a little light on our amazing 2nd Grade Team —
Mrs. Stockdale & Ms. Birmingham! 🌟

These ladies remind us that being a Student Champion is about making sure every child knows, “I see you. I hear you. You matter.” 💛

Thank you, Mrs. Stockdale and Ms. Birmingham, for the heart, patience, encouragement, and intentional care you pour into your students each day. You create spaces where students feel supported, valued, and confident to learn and grow.

We are so excited to launch Inglewood’s first-ever Walk the Wood fundraising event!

Beginning September 1, families can register their students and begin collecting donations to support Inglewood Elementary. Then, on Friday, September 25, our students will Walk the Wood and celebrate all of their hard work.

Help your child’s class reach their fundraising goal and earn fun prizes along the way!

Student registration opens September 1.
Fundraising begins September 1.
Walk the Wood will take place Friday, September 25.

💛 It’s Thankful Thursday! 💛

Today, we’re celebrating some amazing team members who step in wherever they’re needed!

Dr. Williams brings joy, warmth, and excitement while helping students feel comfortable being themselves and navigate emotions, relationships, and challenges.

Ms. Taylor brings a calm, gentle presence, giving students a supportive space to work through emotions and build coping skills.

Mrs. Butcher makes sure students feel heard and supported while advocating for and connecting families with resources.

Mr. Pierce meets students right where they are, providing support, encouragement, and a safe space to manage their emotions.

Mrs. Pryor jumped in BIG TIME to help prepare computers for deployment—from peeling countless stickers and testing headphones to tackling all the behind-the-scenes work!

We’re so thankful for the many ways they support our students, families, and school every day!

THANKFUL THURSDAY: WHO STEPPED IN?

One of the things we love about Thankful Thursday is having an opportunity to pause for a moment and recognize the people who are making a difference around us. Sometimes it is one person who steps in, and sometimes it is an entire team.
This week, we are shining the spotlight on our Pre-K Team — Mrs. Cousin, Ms. Roper, Ms. Wix & Mr. Miller.

We are getting ready for the first day of school, tomorrow, August 11th.

Remember that we have a new start time—8:10!

As a reminder, the first two days of school—Tuesday, August 11 and Wednesday, August 12—will be half days for both Pre-K and Kindergarten students. Please make sure you are prepared for early pickup on both days.

We’ve been working hard to prepare for a wonderful start to the school year, and we can’t wait to kick off another great year of learning, growing, and making memories together.

Once you arrive, head directly to your assigned line-up location using the parade map. A team member will provide your official judging number.
