Reading changes everything — and preparing teachers to teach reading well can shape a child’s future.

Lipscomb University’s College of Education has once again been recognized among the top teacher preparation programs in the nation by the National Council on Teacher Quality for its work preparing future educators in the science of reading.

Lipscomb’s graduate teacher preparation program earned an A+, one of only 38 programs in the country to receive the distinction, and its undergraduate elementary education program earned an A or higher for preparing teachers in the most effective methods of reading instruction.

This national recognition reflects Lipscomb’s continued commitment to equipping educators with the knowledge, skill and purpose to make an immediate and lasting impact in classrooms.
