Seriously, you are missing out.

If you are coming to the conference, pretend that you are retiring soon and please bring items, lessons, handouts to help a new teacher just starting or a seasoned teacher who is changing grades or who might need a change.

Tickets for the April 21 conference are up on Eventbrite.

Again, we are postponing the conference until April. There were too many conflicts and we want to have a quality conference.

Due to some unforeseen situations, we have had to change the date of the fall conference. We are going to try a Spring conference in April. Please look for more information soon! Working on updating website, the Eventbrite, as well as getting out a newsletter for the first time in a LONG while!!!

As the 2017 TCTE President, I am hoping to revive my living soul as a teacher, not a robot. The conference has been booked for September 29 and 30 at the Fogelman Executive Center on the campus of the University of Memphis. I know that we are in an era that does not seem support outside PD, but if we do not work together we will lose our voice in our classrooms!

As the new executive director of TCTE, I would like to invite the English teachers of the Mid South area to meet during a happy hour before school starts. If you teach in Shelby or Desoto County and would like to get some information about TCTE or get reacquainted, please join me at The Tower Center (the top of Clark Tower) July 27 from 4 to 6. You may RSVP to me, Tracy Lin Duckworth or just show! I will buy the first teacher there a drink!
This is open to charter, private, and public school teachers who teach English - any grade! Elementary, Middle, High, and College
