🦋We had a special day learning more about our heritage and all things Tennessee, including Moon Pies and Dolly Parton. Each week brings a unique food tasting from a different country, but we start local. As we listened to Coat of Many Colors, and tasted our Moon Pies, we remembered the importance of kindness and helping others.🦋

🦋It’s the first week of school and many toddlers have already found work to explore and become engaged with. Maria Montessori called it “work” to “honor the deep purposeful nature of their actions”. Once the child becomes engaged with work, the trained teacher allows the child time to practice, uninterrupted. Little by little, concentration lengthens, coordination evolves, and skills are mastered.🦋

🦋Summer fun is just beginning ! We have been busy outside, making art, and enjoyed for music time in the pavillion. Summer camp means lots of time outdoors and we look forward to more special visitors each week.🦋
