From the classroom to the trading floor, Ava Munyer has truly defined the Belmont standard of leadership and excellence! 💼🏆

As a senior finance major, Ava wrapped up her time at Belmont by leading the Belmont Equity Trading Club to an incredible first-place victory in the 2026 TVA Investment Challenge, as well as State Championship titles in Speech & Debate - and a National Championship for Enactus.

Winner of the 4th Year Hale Leadership Award, Ava is a prime example of a Bruin leading with purpose and setting a high bar for our campus and the business community. Her myriad interests have lead her to be involved with a wide variety of campus programs and we can’t wait to watch her continued success in the finance world! 🐻📊

🇻🇳 Global Consulting in Action: SCOPE Group Takes on Vietnam! ✈️💼
Our SCOPE International Consultancy graduate students took their skills global this Maymester by traveling to Vietnam for an immersive consulting project!

The group partnered directly with Source of Asia (SOA)—an international business accelerator and consulting firm on the ground in Vietnam. Our students stepped into the roles of active consultants, working alongside SOA to tackle real-world market entry strategy and international business development challenges. 📈📊 From navigating the business culture of Southeast Asia to diving deep into global commerce, our Bruins gained invaluable, hands-on experience you can't replicate in a classroom.

Thanks to this group for representing Belmont on the global stage! And special thanks to Source of Asia for hosting and working with our students! 🤝

Belmont and the Massey College of Business congratulates Dr. Jeff Overby, Professor of Marketing and International Business, on his official appointment as the Honorary Consul of Belgium for Tennessee!

Dr. Overby was commissioned by the Consulate General of Belgium in Atlanta to help strengthen economic, cultural, and academic ties between Belgium and our region. This prestigious role is a testament to Dr. Overby’s decades of leadership and deep expertise in global business. Dr. Overby will continue to teach and serve as Director of the Tennessee Export Initiative, a U.S. Small Business Administration–funded program that supports small Tennessee companies with reimbursable grants to grow their international business.

We are incredibly proud to have him representing Belmont, Massey and Belgium on the international stage! 🐻🇧🇪

📆Out of Office: Memorial Day Closure

Today we pause to honor and remember the brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. In observance of Memorial Day, the Massey College of Business offices will be closed on Monday, May 25. We will reopen with normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26.

🏆 Belmont Stories: Belmont Enactus Wins the U.S. Expo! 🇺🇸✨
It has been a month since Belmont Enactus returned home from Denver, Colorado as the national champions of the 2026 Enactus United States Expo! This week Belmont stories recounts how Enactus, after dwindling to just three members post-COVID, made a historic resurgence on campus. Facing off against much larger teams from across the nation, our students proved that social entrepreneurship and business as a force for good are alive and well at Belmont.
