Summer improvements are underway at Lighthouse Christian School!

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing a safe and well-maintained campus, new retaining walls are being installed on our main Lower Elementary playground and one of our Preschool playgrounds.

These improvements will strengthen foundational support, enhance long-term durability, and help ensure safe and efficient emergency access and egress pathways—especially within our Preschool area.

We’re excited to continue investing in spaces where our students learn, play, and grow. Thank you for your continued support as we work to make our campus even better for our Lighthouse families! 💙🧡

Big things are happening at Lighthouse Christian School this summer!💙🧡

One of our major campus improvement projects is a complete restoration of our school roofs. Through our partnership with Roofing Solutions Inc., roofs across campus are being carefully restored, repaired, waterproofed, and protected to ensure the long-term sustainability of our facilities.

This detailed process includes restoring usable metal roofing, replacing damaged materials, sealing and waterproofing every surface, and applying a specialized composite roofing system that will provide a new 15-year warranty.

We’re grateful for the progress being made and excited to invest in the future of Lighthouse Christian School!

Last week, we celebrated a special Pre-Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony filled with joy, worship, and God’s Word. Our students led a beautiful performance, reciting Scripture, the Books of the Bible, and the Ten Commandments as they marked this exciting milestone. We are so proud of all they have learned and accomplished this year!

We would also like to recognize this year’s recipients of the Deb Castle Memorial Scholarship: Cecelia Jaimes (Slide 2) and Kairo Garner (Slide 3)! Congratulations on this special honor! 💙🧡

Our PK4 friends had the BEST time during a special visit from Lucky Ladd Farms! 🐾✨

As part of our “How Animals Move” lesson, students met some adorable (and fascinating!) animal guests: Chickelita the chick, Pinecone the pine snake, Momma the bunny, and Hedgey the hedgehog! 🐥🐍🐰🦔

They discovered that snakes smell with their tongues and use their bellies for traction, bunnies thump when they’re scared, chicks can recognize up to 100 faces, and hedgehogs curl into a ball using their prickles for protection. Even better…students got to pet them!

Hands-on learning + unforgettable moments = a perfect day in PK4 🧡💙

The Lighthouse Christian School Chess Team made an incredible showing at the 2026 National Middle School Championship! ♟️🏆

Competing in the Under 1100 Division against 35 of the top teams in the nation, team members Michael Awad, Bryan Elias, Josiah Fahim, and Pau Sang finished 6th in the country, earning a Top 10 national trophy! 🇺🇸

Special congratulations to Bryan Elias for an outstanding individual performance, finishing 6th nationally out of 221 players and earning a Top 10 individual medal! 👏

We are so proud of these students for representing LCS with excellence, determination, and sportsmanship on the national stage!

LCS Athletics is proud to celebrate two seniors continuing their athletic careers at the collegiate level!🏀🏐

Congratulations to Allan Niles, Jr. on signing to play basketball at Missouri Valley College and to Katie Anderson on signing to play volleyball at Welch College!

We can’t wait to see what they accomplish in this next chapter of competition and growth! 🦁💙🧡

🎓✨ Senior Spotlight ✨🎓

Today we’re celebrating senior Ethan Menjivar, Lighthouse Christian School’s Valedictorian! 🌟

Ethan has made a lasting impact during his time at Lighthouse Christian School, and we’re excited to celebrate all he has accomplished.

One of his favorite memories at LCS was the Theatre Art’s production of Peter Pan.

After graduation, he plans to attend Middle Tennessee State University and pursue a degree in Forensic Science.

As Valedictorian of the Class of 2026, Ethan’s hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence have truly stood out. We are so proud of you, Ethan, and look forward to seeing where your journey takes you next!
