Tennessee has lost one of its greatest treasures.

Today, we mourn the passing of Dolly Parton, a true Tennessee icon whose impact reached far beyond the music that made her a legend.

From her humble beginnings in the Smoky Mountains to becoming one of the most recognized and beloved entertainers in the world, Dolly never forgot where she came from. She carried Tennessee with her everywhere she went and represented our state with pride, kindness, humor, faith, and an extraordinary generosity of spirit.

Through her music, her philanthropy, and especially her commitment to children and literacy through the Imagination Library, Dolly changed countless lives. Her legacy will live on for generations—not only in the songs we will continue to sing, but in the people and communities she inspired and helped along the way.

Today, Tennessee says goodbye to one of our very best.

Thank you, Dolly, for making Tennessee proud. Your light will continue to shine. ❤️

The TCAT Nashville Main Campus will be closed on Friday, June 26th due to ongoing construction.

Student Services and Financial Aid staff will remain available by phone at 615-425-5500 during normal business hours to assist students and the public.

TCAT Nashville had the opportunity to participate in the CR3W Career Fair at Adventure Science Center, where we connected with students from across Middle Tennessee and introduced them to the exciting world of skilled trades and technical careers.

Students and community members of all ages had the opportunity to learn about the exciting training programs available at TCAT Nashville, with a special focus on careers in Electricity and the skilled trades.

Thank you to the Adventure Science Center, Nissan, BNA, and all of the community partners who helped make this event possible. We are proud to help students explore pathways that can lead to high-demand careers, industry credentials, apprenticeships, and successful futures.

The future workforce starts with conversations like these.

Last week, 17 Dual Enrollment instructors joined us for our first-ever TCAT Nashville Dual Enrollment Boot Camp, and it was a tremendous success!

Together, we explored best practices, strengthened partnerships, shared ideas, and focused on one common goal—providing students with an exceptional career and technical education experience.

Thank you to every instructor who invested their time to learn, collaborate, and prepare for another successful school year. We are excited about the impact you will make in the lives of our students across Middle Tennessee.
