It’s a privilege to have the freedom to vote. It’s also civic responsibility for the civil society. Remember to take part in this process.

How wonderful to see social entrepreneurship major Abby Hodge featured this morning!

Belmont University launched the nation’s first social entrepreneurship major in the country in 2008 under Dr. Bernard Turner’s leadership.

It is a privilege to work alongside him and with our incredible social entrepreneurship majors at Belmont University - The Jack C. Massey College of Business to grow and expand the program, and plant the seeds for social change and impact.

If you know of any college student who desires to make the world a better place, encourage them to look at Belmont’s social entrepreneurship program.

It's about that time of the year when many organizations begin thinking about their strategic plan.

Is it worth our time and effort? Yes. But we can't keep doing it as we always have. Our dynamic world makes it difficult for most business and nonprofit leaders to plan effectively for growth and sustainability.

So, what do we do?

My experience suggests that success with strategic planning is rooted in Organization Development (OD) principles and methods -- an approach that balances structured planning with the flexibility to adapt and change.

My upcoming free webinar for nonprofit leaders will introduce you to my perspectives on strategic planning. It should give you some of my insights and a few new tools to consider that might enhance your own approach to planning.

I hope you'll join me. And feel free to share with others who might find value in the topic.
