⚽️ F.I.R.S.T. Habit in Action: TEAM 💙

Our 3rd/4th Grade Girls Soccer Team hit the field for their first game today and showed us exactly what TEAM looks like—working together, encouraging one another, and playing for something bigger than themselves.

And they brought home the W, 4–2! 🎉

From Kindergarten through 8th grade, we’re back together and ready for another year of wisdom, wonder, and growth.

Our newest Nashville Classical scholars had a BIG first day — and after an early release full of firsts, sometimes the bus ride home is for catching up on sleep. 🚌💤

For now?

Rest. Reset. Celebrate.

There’s so much ahead, especially one of the most exciting parts of Kindergarten: learning to read. 📚

In the coming weeks, families will hear more from us about simple, joyful ways to practice reading at home.

No pressure. No need to recreate the school day.

Just books, conversation, curiosity, and a few minutes together.

Because the best place to learn to read is anywhere a child feels supported and excited to keep growing. ❤️

But tonight?

Let that Kindergartener sleep. 😂

🍅 A new Nashville Classical tradition in the making!

Today, our scholars, families, and staff proudly represented Nashville Classical in our first-ever Tomato Art Fest Push, Pull & Wear Parade appearance!

We loved celebrating school spirit, connecting with our neighbors, and being part of a tradition that makes East Nashville such a special place to call home.

What a day to be a Cougar! 🐾❤️🍅

A new school year starts with connection. ❤️

At Back to School Night, our families told us what mattered most: meeting teachers, seeing classrooms, reconnecting with familiar faces, and helping their scholars feel ready for the year ahead.

One new family summed it up perfectly: “The most valuable part of back to school night was meeting my daughter’s teachers but also the rest of the friendly staff. We felt very welcomed and are confident about her starting her first year at NCCS!”

That’s the experience we want every Nashville Classical family to have—not just at Back to School Night, but all year long.
