🐊 Own a local business? Here's an easy way to get your logo seen by more than 700 Bellevue and Nashville families!

Sponsoring our 2026 Gator Gallop puts your business front and center: your logo goes on the back of our official Gator Gallop T-shirts, worn by 600+ students and 100+ staff members all season long, plus a shoutout to our engaged local community on our page.

It's also a great way to show your support for inclusive education. This year's fundraiser is helping fund new playground equipment so ALL Gower students, including our preschoolers with disabilities, can play together.

🐊 Houses & LiveSchool: What You Need to Know! 🐊

This Friday, Sept 4 is our next House Meeting! Quick rundown on Houses and LiveSchool:

HOUSES: Swamp (green), River (blue), Marsh (orange), Lake (yellow). Once assigned, students stay in their house for their time at Gower. Students earn points (called "Merits" in the app) for GATOR expectations and this month's Leadership Trait (Purposeful).

WHAT POINTS MEAN: More points = more purchases at the school store. Check the Activity tab in the app to see exactly why your student earned or spent points!

REDEEMING POINTS: The school store opens periodically, check the app for the current window. Rewards go to teachers to hand out.

STANDINGS: House points are now visible in the Parent Portal! 🎉 Each month, the top 3 point earners in each house are celebrated at House Meetings, and at the end of each quarter, the house with the most points earns a house party!

GATOR CHECKS: Labeled "Demerits" in the app, these are just reminders when a student needs to reset, they don't affect points or house totals. More on this in its own post soon!

Our Apple Pie Fundraiser raised an incredible $750 for Gower Elementary PTO!

A huge thank you to Gray Family McDonald's Bellevue for their incredible support of Gower Elementary PTO. They generously donated the apple pies that made this fundraiser possible, allowing every dollar donated for a pie to benefit our PTO, and they also donated 15% of qualifying McTeacher's Night sales to Gower Elementary PTO.

Thank you to everyone who came out for McTeacher's Night, donated for a pie, purchased dinner, volunteered their time, and helped make the evening such a success.

Community partnerships like these help us continue supporting our students, teachers, and school programs.

🐊 Gower Elementary PTO is looking for Nashville and Bellevue businesses to sponsor our 2026 Gator Gallop.

By becoming a Gator Gallop sponsor, you'll support local students while putting your business in front of hundreds of Bellevue and Nashville families. Your logo will appear on the back of our official Gator Gallop shirts, which are distributed to more than 600 students and 100 staff members and worn long after event day.

As a thank you for your support, we'll:

This year's Gator Gallop fundraiser will help fund new inclusive playground equipment so all Gower students can play, learn, and grow together. Come grab dinner (15% goes to Gower PTO), say hi to your favorite teachers, and keep an eye out for our pie mascot walking around, yes, someone's in a pie costume 🥧, with trays of apple pies. Donate whatever you'd like (cash only), 100% goes to Gower PTO! We wrap up at 7:30 PM tonight.

🍔 Tomorrow's dinner plans are set! McTeacher's Night is Thursday, August 27, 4:30-7:30 PM at the McDonald's on Hwy 70!

Skip the cooking, grab the family, and watch your favorite Gower teachers work the drive-thru. Keep an eye out for the pie squad walking around with trays of apple pies (inside and at the drive-thru!), donate whatever you'd like, cash only, and 100% goes straight to Gower PTO!

Psst... there may even be a special guest appearance. 👀

Order ahead in the McDonald's app to skip the line, or just show up and enjoy the chaos. Let us know you're coming (and bring a friend) by finding the event on our Gower PTO page!
