One of our case managers noticed the artwork of an 11-year-old resident. After seeing the details of his other drawings, we asked if he would like to make something for us to hang on the wall. We gave no guidance on what to draw, we left it up to him. He was very secretive in his drawing till it was complete. We may have tried to steal a peek or two. When he handed it to the staff, there may have been a tear or 2 shed. Many of us may feel alone in the hard times, but this drawing reminds us God's hands are wrapped around us no matter the struggle.

This month, I'd like to extend From Prison Cells to PhD's naming of Dr. Tommy Moore in their Team Member Spotlight. Dr. Moore serves as the Cohort Facilitator for our "Mental Health" course, playing a pivotal role in the support and success of our scholars.
Beyond teaching, Dr. Moore personally connects with every scholar for check-ins and provides free referrals to local services through his company, "Priority One." His dedication reflects the commitment of all our facilitators to supporting the whole person, ensuring every scholar feels valued and part of the P2P family.
Ready to experience the P2P difference? Applications for our next cohort are now open: https://conta.cc/3SyUUK5

One of our board members is currently on a study abroad program in Ireland with TnCIS and noticed that many public areas in Galway are covered in wildflowers instead of being mowed. What a wonderful way to create habitats for insects, especially those pollinators! If you’re interested in doing this at home, Tennessee Environmental Council & Tennessee Tree Day has native seeds for us Tennesseans!
