Ghana water treatment system wins national award 02/13/2020

We often talk at Lipscomb University about how donors' investments in students change lives. It's not just a platitude — it's real. But the impact can be surprising, even to the point of affecting health and changing life trajectories half a world away, as illustrated by this story involving the award-winning work of students in the Raymond B. Lipscomb Engineering Baja SAE 01/13/2020

One of the really cool things about our Raymond B. Jones College of Engineering at Lipscomb University is the Mini Baja competition every year. Baja SAE is a collegiate competition sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and small-engine manufacturer Briggs and Stratton. The primary goal of the competition is to simulate real-world engineering design projects and their related challenges.

But here's the thing: the rule for participating is that the team has to raise all the money for its work and participation. I thought my engineering friends (or all of my Lipscomb friends who want to see the university do well on the world stage) might want to know about this and join me in helping out.
