Thank you everyone for coming to the 2026 Nashville Summer Classic! With 150 players, this event was our largest yet and broke the record for the biggest open chess tournament in Tennessee since at least 1990!!

We are also pleased to report that the Summer Classic was FIDE-rated, and we look forward to continuing to offer FIDE-rated play at future events.

The Tennessee Summer Speed Series was a huge hit, with 60 total players competing across four events in Lebanon, Murfreesboro, Crossville, and Nashville!! Thank you to everyone who participated, and to Mercedes-Benz of Music City, under General Manager Sam Cavett, for sponsoring this event!
